Digital weights on digital scales are all over the place.
Steve bought a new one – CONAIR brand – and it varied 15 lbs. from one day to the next. He called a sales rep at the company and they said the scales can vary 10 pounds plus or minus whenever you weigh yourself – industry standards.
So what about the person who has to check their weight daily for health reasons? The rep sent him out a second scale. Guess what? The second one was worse.
Moral of the story for me? I’m sticking with my spring scale even if it weighs less the ones at the doctors offices. It’s old and weathered, but at least it’s consistent.
