TWO WAY GRANNY SMITH APPLE DESSERT
Apple sauce with fresh apple cubes. Dusted with pumpkin seed snow, cinnamon, brown sugar. Drizzled with maple syrup and sprinkled with pink Himalayan salt. Sweet, tart, crunchy, smooth, creamy – it has it all. Low-fat, except for the negligible amount in the pumpkin seed snow! Don’t wait for dessert – make it the meal!
Makes 1-2 servings
2, 3.9 oz. containers Mott’s unsweetened GRANNY SMITH APPLE SAUCE
1 Granny Smith apple, cut into quarters from end to end, cored, then diced into bite-size cubes
1 T. pumpkin seed snow – made by processing raw pumpkin seeds in electric coffee grinder till fluffy like snow
cinnamon
1 t. brown sugar
drizzle of Grade A maple syrup
fresh grind pink Himalayan salt
This is an easy dessert.
Place applesauce in dessert serving dish.
Top with apple cubes.
Dust with pumpkin seed snow.
Dust with cinnamon.
Drizzle with maple syrup.
Sprinkle with pink salt.
Serve.
Notes: That’s it. How simple is that? Most people serve either the applesauce or the fresh apple, not both in the same dish. You will be pleasantly delighted with the result.
