FROZEN MIXED VEGETABLES FOR BREAKFAST
Cooked with nothing on them. Boil till plump and tender. Eat 1 cup after drinking a glass of something: doctored water, juice, plant milk, whatever.
Years ago I did this on a regular basis – not every day but mostly every day.
One part of staying trim is to be regular in the digestive department. This works better than a laxative. For me, this is a perfect fit.
I could eat these all day just plain – snack on them while I work even. The variety of vegetables is what I like and it’s an easy chew.
Another feature: If I only eat this and nothing in between I don’t get food cravings.
Along with the 50 calorie Tofu Pups – animal-free hot dogs – this for me qualifies as a diet food coming in at 90 calories per cup – fat-free, sugar-free, animal-free.

SEASNAX
When Steve brought a case of SEASNAX home I doubted that we would finish the case. Well, we have two left after what I had today. The chipotle flavor is my favorite, though I didn’t reject any of them. They’re ultra thin – thinner than spring roll skins and of course crispy. The chew: It’s crispy at first, not crumbly, although it breaks in large pieces. Eventually the crispy chew turns to a semi-wad, a little gelatinous, then chews a little like a steamed clam minus the stomach.
This comes from their website:
Seaweed is Strange
Our ingredients are anything but.
Seaweed is a nutrient-rich snack made from the finest ingredients on Earth. It’s vegan, gluten free, Non G-Mmmmm-O and is made with only 100% organic extra virgin olive oil and just a pinch of sea salt.
Our ingredients are beautifully ordinary. Yet they are sourced from extraordinary places from all over the Earth (and sea). And we’ll never use artificial flavors, colors or preservatives.
Finally, each batch of Seasnax must past a rigorous taste-test performed by our head of R&D – who just happens to be the daughter of our founders, Jin & Ben.
If she doesn’t like it, we don’t use it. Seasnax comes in several fin-tastic flavors and is available in Sheets, Chomperz, Stix and SeaSprinkes.
Happy Chomping!
