What am I going to do, sleep the rest of my life away?
No. I’m going to get up and greet the day as if I have my whole life in front of me – even though I don’t. If I can pull that off, I’ll be in a good place.
Age naturally restricts a person’s goals and dreams, so it’s the frame of mind which I seek to re-capture – not the reality. Out of necessity and pragmatism the goals restrict themselves with age, which if recognized and confronted can transform into a powerful motivating force to accomplish more quickly that which was once a far away dream.
Hesitation, when we age, becomes the killer of those dreams if not recognized so that we can take actions to counteract it. We no longer can put off to a later time what youth and perceived longevity once allowed us to do.
